Sadara will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Jubail Industrial City II, in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the ambitious Sadara complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Sadara and the adjoining PlasChem Park will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.
In short period MLC move ten (10) heavy & oversize columns to Sadara site, the heaviest of 601 MT & the longest of these is 76 m; the widest 8.5 m & the highest 8.3 m. Initially, the vessel called at Jubail Industrial Port to discharge five out of its longest & heaviest units & later moved to Jubail Commercial Port on the country’s East coast to discharge the rest of units including general cargo.
All units were safely discharge on to the trailer using vessel gears & stooled down inside respective ports for customs clearance; thereafter units were pulled out WITHIN FREE TIME safely from both ports & brought upon request of client to the nearby Almajdouie laydown area. 7 units ALREADY COMPLETED SAFE DELIVERY to the job site & THE REST SHALL BE delivered as per the given schedule by EPC Tecnicas Reunidas of Spain.
Undoubtedly, this operation was not easy, considering the dimensions it was essential to obtain required permits from the authorities & to remove multiple obstacles during the haulage. Almajdouie experience in the industry and experience team ensured the job is executed in best and safe way – stated by General Manager Heavy lift, Humayun Mirza.
